Oravel Stays Limited, the parent company of OYO Hotels, has unveiled a major rebranding initiative, adopting a new corporate identity called PRISM to better reflect its growing global footprint and diverse portfolio. Founded in 2012 as a budget travel-tech startup, OYO transformed the hospitality industry by standardizing small hotels through the power of technology and creating affordable travel solutions. Over time, the group has evolved from a disruptor in budget accommodations into a comprehensive global travel-tech and hospitality ecosystem, now serving more than 100 million customers across over 35 countries. The adoption of PRISM as the corporate name represents clarity, innovation, and diversity within the company’s expanding ecosystem. Ritesh Agarwal, founder and group CEO of PRISM, emphasized that this move lays the foundation for a future-ready corporate structure, aligning the company’s expanding portfolio with a long-term vision of scalability, premiumization, and innovation. Under this structure, PRISM will function as the corporate parent overseeing all operations and sub-brands, while OYO will remain the primary consumer-facing brand for budget hospitality, a segment where it already enjoys widespread recognition and loyalty across the globe. PRISM’s broad portfolio now spans an impressive range of hospitality offerings. These include budget hotels under the OYO brand, premium and lifestyle-focused properties such as Townhouse, Sunday, and Palette, and Motel 6 in the United States, which serves travelers seeking standardized and reliable stays. Beyond hotels, the company has built a significant presence in vacation homes through brands like Belvilla, DanCenter, CheckMyGuest, and Studio Prestige. In addition, PRISM has entered the extended stay market with Studio 6, developed through its US-based subsidiary G6 Hospitality. The company has further diversified into co-working spaces under Innov8 and event venues through Weddingz.in, creating a multi-dimensional ecosystem that caters to both leisure and business travelers. Underpinning all of these ventures is a strong reliance on cutting-edge hospitality technology powered by artificial intelligence and data science, which helps the company deliver efficiency, personalization, and profitability for its partners. Financial performance has been equally robust, strengthening the rationale for rebranding and scaling operations under the PRISM identity. The company began FY 2026 with an impressive net profit of more than ₹200 crore in the first quarter, more than double the figure reported during the same period in the previous year. Revenues rose by 47% to reach ₹2,019 crore, while gross booking value surged to ₹7,227 crore, marking a striking 144% increase year-over-year. For FY 2025, PRISM reported ₹6,252.8 crore in consolidated revenues, reflecting a 16% jump from the prior year, alongside an EBITDA of ₹1,100 crore and a consolidated net profit of ₹2,448 crore. Its global portfolio has now expanded to include over 120,000 vacation homes and 21,000 hotels, firmly cementing its position as one of the most significant players in the international hospitality sector. The rebranding reflects the company’s ambitions to transform into a leading global lifestyle hospitality and technology group. Its strategy is centered on premiumization, investment in artificial intelligence and advanced technology, and data-driven solutions that empower partners to grow sustainably. Partner feedback highlights how the group’s tools and ecosystem have enabled rapid property expansion, streamlined operations, and consistent profitability, making PRISM an attractive ally for hotel owners worldwide. Looking ahead, PRISM is focused on accelerating its global growth trajectory by leveraging AI-powered partner tools, strengthening its position in existing markets, and entering new ones such as the United States and Europe. The PRISM brand creates a unified yet diversified corporate identity, balancing the strength of the OYO brand with a wider portfolio that serves different customer needs across budget, premium, and lifestyle categories. The shift from Oravel Stays to PRISM marks a new chapter in the evolution of this dynamic travel-tech group. It symbolizes the company’s readiness to embrace its multi-brand reality, invest deeply in innovation, and drive growth while staying true to its founding mission of making travel affordable, reliable, and memorable. For both travelers and partners, PRISM represents a forward-looking vision that is as much about global expansion as it is about delivering consistent quality, diverse experiences, and sustainable growth in the hospitality sector.
